Touching Base

Okay...Haven't touched this site in a while...a LOT of things happened, and i can't remember them all, so i'm gonna go over some in summary:

June 5 2009: Anino Games Inc. outing @ La Luz Beach Resort, Laiya, Batangas

We stayed overnight at the office to avoid having to go out from home early in the morning. The timing was kind of odd, since it was the start of the rainy season right after the summer season, but since we were jam-packed with projects. I spent the night watching Dragonball:Evolution on my pc, while the others were playing Ps3. So we went to Batangas, the driver got screwy with his directions, we arrived later than expected. We ate lunch, then proceeded the afternoon with the program. Lots of games, team-building exercises, etc:

so after spending the night there, we headed on our way back to manila.

June 14-15 2009: Toycon

Same as every year, we attended Toycon @ megamall. Lots of toys, reunions with old friends, etc. I submitted my entry for the toyclicks contest, but i didn't win:

Anyways--got to see former officemates-friends, like POPO, JABO and ANNIE.

June 24, 2009: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen night

I met up with my friend Kachina @ Gateway Mall to watch the premiere screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Kachi got us free premiere tickets care of their company, Executive Optical. The tickets were custom made, when unflapped, the folding reveals a pop-up of a mini-allspark, with The Fallen's hand clawing out. SO COOL:

We watched in the same cinema where we watched the advanced screening of Death Race back in august 20, 2008. She even won a free shirt from the pre-screening program, just as she was telling me she was kinda unlucky when it came to those promos. The movie was great, full of action, drama and all that jazz. The ending part was kind of a let-down though. I was expecting the action figure sales to skyrocket after the movie came out. I also suddenly wanted to buy either an action figure of The Fallen, or one of the Primes(if they made action figs of such), and soon enough, i was able to pre-order the voyager class figure of The Fallen, i'm expecting it to arrive in the stock by this week. Love the design, he's got a pharaoh look to him, which adds to the story that they all inspired early man's civilizations XD XD XD

August 1, 2009: IGDA KUCHA night

I met up with my friends Luna and Karen in glorietta, ran into Pam on the way there. We were gonna go to this event where the local game development community had a gathering where they share stuff about the game development scene. The event was held @ a building in ortigas area, in Paul Gadi's office lounge area(Paul was a former officemate, and a fellow comic book and gaming fan). I learned a LOT from that event in particular with the industry im working on. I had the rare chance to meet Chester Ocampo a.k.a. elpinoy on Deviantart:
--turns out, he was an acquaintance of Luna's. Small world talaga.
--Oh, and he looks like MASI OKA, Hiro Nakamura from Heroes. LOL.
Other friends arrived, like Mike Velasco, Michael Gonzales and Ceejay Yungco. I also got a free pizza to take home after the event.

August 14, 2009: G.I. Joe night

I met up with 2 of my kidlat™ friends, Ron and Ryan to watch G.I. Joe: the rise of cobra. It was a FUN movie to watch, although i never really knew much about the old series. We were just 3, because the other 2, Seph and Bobbit couldn't make it. My only comment was on the action scenes of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow; they resorted to quick cuts too much, that i couldnt make out what was going on. still a great movie though.

August 15,2009: Graphika Manila

I met up with my friends Ram and Ajine @ SM Mall of Asia to attend the annual Design conference known as Graphika Manila. It's basically a gathering of the Graphic Designers, Artists, etc in the local scene, with guest speakers from the International scene. Last year, the BIG one was PIXAR. This year, INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC.(ZOMG) so i just HAD to attend. This year's was more interesting compared to last year's boring one. Not to forget mentioning Tim Yap's laptop FAIL. I got to see some old friends, like Leah del Rosario, Lorenze Buenaventura, etc. The Graphika Manila Book was okay, nice reference too. My artwork submission for the contest to be included in the book didn't get in (as usual):

August 27, 2009: Nothing Special, just Updating. OH WAIT. There's SOMEthing.

At around 2 days ago, i saw my college professor post a status on Facebook™, he said to try typing his name in YouTube™, we will see his tryout videos. True enough, i tried it, out came different results for Fernando Torres, the Football player. LOL.

--So i tried it for myself, typed in my name. I was half-expecting to see some "Hommies" who share my name, but to my immediate SHOCK, i saw one of MY pictures in the search page:

I checked the profile of the one who uploaded this video, and this is that person's page, along with THE video:

While watching this, i was completely creeped out. I.Was.Stalked. O_o Note to self: make my friendster profile private. LOL. I DO have a clue as to who it was, though.
